Victoria Fashion Week

Included in this project was a massive backdrop, measuring 18’ tall by 35’ wide, because of the sheer scale of our venue, The Bay Centre in downtown Victoria.

The tessellated wall, designed with the use of parametric algorithms , was laser cut from cardboard, painted, and backed with an opaque white paper. The hundreds of finished triangles were glued together using built-in foldable flaps.

The result was a visually stunning and cost-effective recyclable backdrop wall, popular for selfies and portraits, which elevated the look and feel of Strike Midnight fashion show to the next level.

The Challenge

After branding and art directing the Victoria Fashion Week Launch earlier in the year, we took a major leap and went on to produce a complete VicFW Event called “Strike Midnight” in November, 2017.
