Children's Health Foundation Donor Wall

The Challenge

In early 2018, we were approached by the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island to spruce up their new downtown Victoria youth mental health clinic, the Foundry, with a custom donor wall to recognize the individuals and organizations that made this new facility possible.

Our Approach

Over 100 wood rounds were cut from locally salvaged driftwood in 3 distinct size categories to differentiate the donor levels, and a feature burl slab was used as the centrepiece of the wall. The rounds were then fitted with rare earth magnets and attached to a series of painted steel sheets which we mounted to the wall.

Both columns beneath the donor wall feature hung live-edge maple slabs with information for youth and visitors about what donors are, why they matter, and what the different levels of giving represent.

The Result

Studio Robazzo did an amazing job building the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island’s donor wall at Foundry Victoria through taking input and ideas from multiple teams. They brought together natural elements, technology, and branding standards to create a west coast inspired donor wall that met the needs of the Foundation, our partners, and the youth who use the space every day. They helped us create this inspiring and engaging donor wall and matching donor gifts that have motivated donors to give more in order to find their place on the wall. Not only did they exceed our expectations, but they were also a joy to work with and completed their work in a timely and cost-effective manner. Thanks Andrew, Christina, Alejandro, and the whole Studio Robazzo team!”
