We are seeking an industrial design intern to assist in our growing list of projects at Studio Robazzo. Your primary role will be to assist in the production of digital drawings, 3D models, and physical build projects at the Studio. You will be under the supervision of founding partner Andrew Azzopardi, graduate of the University of Waterloo School of Architecture and digital fabrication junkie. Other duties might include operating the laser cutter, running errands, sitting in on brainstorming meetings and other design-related tasks.
Experience with digital fabrication technologies (3D Printer & Laser Cutter) is important but not mandatory, as long as you are willing and ready to expand your knowledge in a short time frame. Proficiency in Rhinoceros and basic knowledge of Grasshopper are mandatory for this position. Appropriate background & experience can include: industrial design, architecture, and drafting.
This is a minimum wage position, as we are a small company in the process of breaking through the "start-up" phase.
