SCOPE: restaurant look & feel - lighting fixtures, menus, exterior signage, complete graphic package

Nubo Japanese Tapas offers a modern take on traditional cuisines from around the world. They came to us seeking an interior look and feel to heighten the sense of modernity in their space.

We designed custom lighting using computerized algorithms to generate random stylized forms. Pieces of thin mahogany were laser-cut and arranged in a waffle structure to suggest the amorphous shape.

Unique menu clipboards were sanded and oiled to give them a refined look and feel. The Graphics Department at Studio Robazzo created a modern menu layout to complement the clipboard's clean lines.

The logo we designed informed the aesthetic choices in our physical designs. Crisp lines frame the natural waves in the plywood, which is then echoed by the undulating form of the light fixtures.

Standard plywood was cut using a CNC router, then painted and sealed. These signs are a welcoming preview of the modern aesthetic that continues inside the restaurant.
