Celebration of the Senses Card Game

The Challenge

In 2017, Asmaa Methqal of Maestra Business Solutions approached us with a unique Canada 150 marketing campaign concept for her client at the SDECB: a card game to honour and bring awareness to the diverse artisanal industries found in British Columbia. Chris Rudram of Enigmatic Events was tasked with designing the infrastructure of the game, while we were in charge of the graphics and look & feel in alignment with the Destination BC brand standards.

Our Approach

To make the graphics of the game as artisanal and relatable as possible, we created vector illustrations of each industry being represented as well each of the five senses. These illustrations, combined with the brand colours and fonts from Destination BC, made up the foundation of the card deck. We also designed the box graphics and instruction manual.

The Result

The result is a super fun-to-play game that not only keeps the whole family entertained, but also educates players about British Columbian artisanship in the process.
