Victoria Press Building Brochure

The Client

The Victoria Press Building has a long and rich history as the home of Victoria’s Times Colonist newspaper. In recent years, it was purchased by real estate investment firm Merchant House Capital, with plans to convert the 135,000 sq.ft space into a mixed-use live/work development at the heard of Midtown, Victoria’s newest up-and-coming neighbourhood.

The Challenge

The Robazzo team was approached to create a suite of marketing materials to help MHC promote the leasing opportunities in their new project. This included a 16-page leasing brochure as well as a series of magazine and newspaper advertisements for use in local media.

Our Approach

The goal of our design process was to create an elegant and vibrant graphic identity for the Victoria Press Building through the use of colour, typography, and layout. The brochure features large photos and bulleted lists to retain the attention of readers and keep them engaged as they discover all of the amenities and features that come with leasing space at the VPB. The colourful ribbons flowing behind every page are an homage to the printing press and further help the document with flow and continuity.

The Result

The final brochure was printed on premium matte-fused paper by Mitchell Press for distribution among interested parties. The marketing suite gives a voice and personality to this new development and speaks to the young and vibrant audience in the Victoria market.
